A decent forecast and an item in the news (heritage railway type news) that Earl of Merioneth was on its last day saw me head to the Ffestiniog Railway. Seen here on its first of two trips to Bleanau and back at Dduallt where it is starting to ascend the spiral. This was part of the solution to reach Blaenau Ffestiniog despite the original route being flooded by the building of a reservoir.
