The Royal Deeside Railway is a standard gauge steam and diesel hauled heritage railway, in a beautiful setting running alongside the River Dee.
At the Milton of Crathes, we have an award-winning Victorian station, a shop with ice creams etc., all with a wonderful view of the surrounding hills. The Milton of Crathes complex includes craft shops, a restaurant and art gallery.

We have a number of heritage diesel locomotives which are used to support the operation of the railway.
Our regular steam locomotive is one of the oldest working engines in the UK, constructed in 1897.
Our building is an authentic Great North of Scotland Railway design originally located at Oldmeldrum.
